Dear colleagues and friends,

We greatly thank you for your kind support and contributions to Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics (RAA) throughout the years. RAA is an academic journal supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and jointly organized by the National Astronomical Observatories of the CAS and the Chinese Astronomical Society. Its predecessor was the Chinese quarterly journal《天体物理学报》("Acta Astrophysica Sinica") founded in 1981. In 2001, it was revised to the English bimonthly journal "Chinese Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics" (ChJAA). In 2009, it was renamed as “RAA” and became a monthly English journal.

As the only SCI astronomical journal in China, RAA publishes the original results in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics, covering research areas such as cosmology, galaxies, stars, the Sun, planetary, ISM, celestial mechanics and astrometry, instruments, techniques, data processing methods, etc. In July 2024, RAA set up a new column -- data paper, to promote the open sharing and reuse of astronomical data. The journal sections include original research articles, letters, invited reviews, data papers, and scientific reminiscences.

As editors-in-chief, we sincerely invite you to submit papers. Please use the RAA website (https://www.raa-journal.org/) and the web-based peer review system for manuscripts (ScholarOne Manuscripts) for more instructions of submission guidelines, editorial board membership, and etc. 

We will make all the efforts to ensure the refereeing and publication process efficient and fair. Your kind offer of manuscripts will be greatly appreciated.
