Prof. Yi Chou is an associate professor of Graduate Institute of Astronomy, National Central University (NCU) in Taiwan. He obtained his PhD degree in physics from Harvard University in 2001. He joined NCU as a faculty member in 2002. Prof. Chou’s research interests are compact objects and accreting binary systems, especially the variability of these systems. In addition to scientific research, Prof Chou is also an expert in X-ray telescope, especially in using coded mask technique to image cosmic X-ray sources. He joins the Compton Spectrometer and Imager team to design and develop the coded mask system for its future flight.
