RAA accepts four types of submissions:

Research Papers

- Original work in all branches of astronomy and astrophysics

- No length limit

Invited Reviews

- Synthesizing the vast amount of primary research literature and identifying the principal contributions in astronomy and astrophysics

- Written by authors who are recognized experts in the field

- By invitation only, an interested review author may contact the Editor-in-Chief, Co-Executive Editors or Editorial Board Members for possible invitation.

- No length limit

Letters

- Important new results requiring rapid publication

- Restricted in length to 6 printed pages

- News and views about letters are published online

Scientific Reminiscences

- Reminiscences by some eminent scientists

- Recommended by the Editor-in-Chief, Co-Executive Editors or Editorial Board Members
